This bowl started as a flat piece of clay. I pulled and folded the edge by hand while it was still soft, so it dried into these deep waves, like a flower caught mid-bloom. No mold, no two folds the same.

It sits on a raised pedestal foot, so it reads like a piece on display rather than something you tuck away in a cabinet.

The glaze is a warm, pale cream that pools into rich amber and brown wherever the folds get deep, so the color shifts depending on the light and the angle you look from.

It is stoneware, fired hot, and fully food safe, so use it for fruit, bread, or anything you'd normally put in a serving bowl. It is dishwasher and microwave safe too, though hand washing keeps the glaze looking its best over time.
