I make objects that are a little bit extra.

Julia — Lusolia Studio, Amsterdam

I spent years building a life I was proud of. A career in sales, an apartment of my own in Amsterdam, financial security I had worked hard for. I had everything I had set out to achieve. And then I stood there and thought, now what?

I tried pottery for the first time in 2025. The world stopped. I had been creative as a child, but somewhere along the way I had learned that creativity and stability were a trade-off. That morning in the studio, I understood they did not have to be.

I work from a shared studio in Amsterdam, building each piece entirely by hand. I use stoneware clay and glazes sourced from Poland and Turkey, materials I chose for their texture, their depth, their unpredictability. Every piece begins with an idea and a feeling I want to show. But every time I start a project, there's this inner voice telling me to add more, be extra, take up space. So I do.

Lusolia is Luxury, Soul, and my name — Julia. It is my belief that the most meaningful luxury is not a logo or a price point. It is a space that feels unmistakably like you. Bold. Expressive. Irreplaceable. That is what I make. One piece at a time.
